HISTORY
Laurel Oaks Golf Club—located at 808 US Highway 62 in Maysville—opened in 1992 as a semi‑private, public-access course designed to bring quality golf to Mason County and surrounding communities. Stretching 6,512 yards from the back tees with a par‑72 layout, the course was thoughtfully routed across gently rolling terrain featuring mature trees, three decorative ponds, and strategically placed sand bunkers
Though the course is relatively young, its clubhouse sits within a storied piece of local history: the building dates back to 1865 and is the oldest standing house in Kentucky preserved on the property. This historic structure became part of Laurel Oaks Golf Club, tying the modern sporting venue to Maysville’s 19th‑century heritage.
Since its opening, Laurel Oaks has become a regional hub for competitive and recreational golf. It hosts events like the Laurel Oaks Classic and the Commonwealth Cup team tournament, which has been held at the course annually for at least seven years. These tournaments, along with local high school region championships, helped establish the course as a community centerpiece and a beloved venue for golf in Northern Kentucky.
